An entire semester has come and gone since my last journal update. Here's what's goin on:

1) I'm 21 now! Wooooo!
2) I'm very much enjoying being an anthropology major (forensics ftw!)
3) I'm still drawing, but it's mainly for a video game I'm working on with a group of friends
4) I give zero fucks about deviantART
5) That's mainly attributed to my addiction with Tumblr

So yeah, don't really expect me to update very often, if at all. If you're really interested in what I'm up to then find me on Tumblr (kageoflight.tumblr.com). My blog is full of lulz and awesomeness.

So yeah, I've been working a lot. Doing some drawing, doing some reading, doing some watching of tv shows. I'm officially obsessed with Supernatural. School is about to start again for the fall (only two weeks left!). I'm actually pretty excited. At least then I'll have something to do.

So, as I'm sure you've noticed, I've been pretty dead here on deviantArt. There are a number of reasons for that:

1) With the end of the semester, I had a ton of work to do for finals and moving back home
2) I've been looking for a job, so I can stop being lazy and be a productive member of society
3) I became obsessed with the Mass Effect franchise. I've already beaten both games (this didn't help at all with #2)
4) I'm dealing with personal problems that are really rather draining. Basically, idgaf.

So there you have it. I'll start posting when I feel like it. Toodles.

So for those of you who couldn't already tell, I am OBSESSED with Tangled. I think it's definitely one of my favorite "new age" Disney movies. Not only are the story and characters absolutely perfect and adorable, but the animation itself is amazing. Now, as far as CG animation goes I am a Pixar girl all the way (and yes, I know that Disney and Pixar have a history together). However, I think Tangled has accomplished something that I find very hard to do in that industry, which is capturing true human emotion, especially in the face. Some of the expressions and emotions displayed in the movie were just so genuine and true. It makes you fall in love with the characters even more.

So I have some more Tangled fanart on the way. I can't wait to buy this movie so I can watch it obsessively.
There's some other art I have laying around as well, but with the end of school approaching I don't have the time to work on any huge projects.

On that note, the semester is almost over! I only have one and a half weeks of regular classes, and then finals begin. This semester has gone by SO FAST, but I haven't been more excited for it to be over. I've recently made a big life-decision. I changed my major to anthropology (with a minor in history) which means that I won't be going to Tech. It's kind of bittersweet, but I'm positive that it's the right decision for me. I would be miserable at Tech, and financially it would put me in the hole. So for the first time in two years I'm legitimately excited about classes for Fall. It's going to be a LOT of work, but it'll all be worth it in the end and it's something I can be really passionate about.

In slightly less awesome news, my work screwed me over for this summer...long story short, due to a change of city policies I won't be able to work at the pool. Which means I'm officially job-less...ugh. It would figure this would happen the ONE summer I really need to save up to get an apartment. Hopefully that'll work out.

Seriously, this is weird...I wish they could decide on a journal format and just stick with it.

So, I've recently become re-obsessed with the D. Grayman series, which you might understand if they let me use my journal skins... They have the first season on netflix. Unfortunately it's in english, and after watching it in japanese it sounds weird...still, you can't stop the signal. -nerdreferenceftw-
Speaking of being a nerd, local anime con Momocon was this past weekend. It was ok...kinda boring. I've pretty much grown out of the strictly anime cons.

I pretty much just wanted to say that starting more or less now, I'll be trying to update more often. I know I said in my last journal that I was going to start doing weekly sketches...and then fast forward more than a month later and it obviously never happened. WELL I'm going to start doing that for-realz this time. I have a lot of stuff lined up ready to show you guys. It's just a matter of scanning it in.

Other than that, I've started playing Assassins Creed again. Working on finally finishing the second game (along with the dlc). Ubisoft is full of idiots though because the dlc I downloaded for Brotherhood DOESN'T WORK. Thankfully it's not just me tho. It's pretty much everyone, so hopefully they'll get their act together and fix this crap. If I pay almost twenty bucks for a bunch of add-ons then I want to be able to play them. ):<

I should not have had that cup of coffee with dinner...
